Old Camera Week

My week with my old camera is up. I think it went fairly well even though it was a pain to shoot with. I had forgotten why I had switched cameras in the first place : the auto focus no longer works correctly. On a point & shoot, you rely on autofocus as you can’t manually change it yourself. When autofocus stops responding, it’s a pain. Luckily I was able to get it to work every now and then. It just took more trial and error.

Massive Update

Twenty Days worth of Project 365 has been uploaded. I’ve been incredibly busy with the new layout and haven’t had time to work on the actual photos (not to mention I have a thesis to write).

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone looks at a photo I took and says “Wow! Your Camera takes good pictures!” It’s like someone telling me the camera does all the work. So I decided that this week I wanted to try something new : an old camera. I wanted to prove that you can take beautiful pictures with any camera. I’ve been using my old Canon A550 on which the autofocus is pretty much shot. I’ve been pretty happy with the last few days worth of pictures. Unfortunately I can’t find my charger and the battery is dead. I’ll have to go searching for it and take a break from this challenge until it is found again.

New Design

I decided this week that instead of focusing on uploading and working on the photos I took, I would be doing a major update of the site. I still haven’t quite figured out how to add my background again, I’ll have to do some more css research, but I’m pretty happy with how it’s turned out.

You can now reach my Project365 by clicking the button on the side bar, or surf my archives. I’ve also added the fancy sliding bar for surfing the site.
